Brought to tears today listening to Semah sing, a boy born blind and in poverty in Liberia, cared for by the Monrovia based NGO Christian Blind Association.
He sings, "Oh Lord have mercy. You lift me up whenever I'm down. I can't do without your love. In every situation you're my redemption. You're my solution. You lift me up whenever I'm down. I can't do without your love." Simple words of faith that brought my heart back to life this morning.
While life wasn't kind to Semah, his faith and spirit captured the heart of Nigerian Artist "Flavour" who was amazed that this young fellow sang his songs better than Flavor did. He took him to Washington courtesy of TIS Foundation and recorded this song "Mercy". He's also adopted him and opened a school for the blind. What a beautiful gift this young man is to the world.
As you read "Pandemic Paradise" may you feel God's mercy for your situation and find God's redemption. May be you be lifted up whenever you're down too. Hugs. xoxo
P.S. Listen to Semah's next song too, for a bit of Happy Today!
